The VD-200 is an IP-based set-top-box developed for video-on-demand service as a client device. VD-200 is specially designed for high quality video playback through streaming technologies. The |
quality requirements cover several audio/video industrial standards, which meet the consumer AV expectations. The target markets include hotel AV service, Karaoke service and even home gateway / server of the networked homes.
VD-200 is an embedded system with ATi SOC solution, to leverage the flexibility and mature performance from PC-based industry. With varies expansion ports such as USB interface, VD-200 series can be easily extended for different applications and markets.
With well-designed software and self-technologies, NUMA provides customizations for various applications, such as hotel applications, Karaoke applications, e-home AV services, etc. VD-200 series also can be remotely managed and upgraded; such functions can help a lot for customer services and RMA services. The middleware technologies can deliver streaming videos in MPEG 2 transport stream (TS) format in normal playback, fast forward, backward, slow motion, pause, stop, and Digital Right Management (DRM), etc.
